We're in Ukraniaville...Dauphin, Manitoba after a long drive yesterday from Saskatoon following some serious thunderstorms. Camped in beautiful treed Vermillion river park along a very dead green river. Cycled 77 km today touring the cute little bustling town of many gardens, old 60's homes, and brick heritage buildings. Did a highway circle loop past flooded beaches of Rainbow beach on huge Dauphin Lake where we were dived bombed by dragonflies. Lunched in deserted town of Ochre River and rode last 20 km uphill with strong headwinds. You'd think we'd learn to head out west and come back east...headwinds were challenging today along with another day of 30 degrees and somewhat shoulderless roads.
