Now at Hart Island RV park outside of Fredericton, NB...rains yesterday made the decision to drive easy. Today's 72 km ride led to downtown Fredericton on a quiet morning where we able to cruise the historic Garrison district of the downtown core...many late 1800 buildings and fabulously large, character homes...also a very quick stop at NB Artisans Festival. Crossed over St John River and cycled the north side of the NB Trans Canada trail along river side through a rich tapestry of natural beauty where pathways were lush, with smells of sweet fragrant, wild flowers. Off the trail we cycled through Douglas and Kenswick ridge farmlands of rolling hills out to popular Mactaquac Provincial Park which overlooks the magnificent head pond above the dam on the St John River. Cycled across the windy dam back to the south side of the river connecting back onto the NB Sentier path back to site. Varied ride on a rather humid day...not a breath of fresh air to be found.
Wow! What a fantastic trip. Love the pictures of Quebec city: looks like Europe rather than Canada. Does the $10 haircut include the pint of beer?? Thanks for the reading the last few days as I've been hobbling around with a mangled toe. Your French has really improved Glenda. Now you're swearing is fluent in 4 languages: English, Spanish, Canadian and French. As you know, summer has finally arrived on the wet coast so we are happy campers once again. Miss you.
ReplyDeleteHey Tom how many beer did take til they had you looking like Kojak (oops, aging myself here). Great pics Sis and your Martha Stewart commentary on the Maritime weeds was worthy of a Better Homes & Gardens article. Just another shitty sunny day on Paradise Island.... Happy squid jigging in Nouveau Brunswick.
